Roland E. Pedersen, 83, of Waukesha, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc, WI.
He was born on November 5, 1933 to Holger Emil Adefelt and Ruth (Marvin) Pedersen in Glendale, CA and graduated from Burrough’s High School in 1951. On May 23, 1959, he married the former Margot
Madison in LaCanada , CA.
Roland was employed as a bookbinder at various places of employment for 50 years. He was a veteran of the Korean War in the Air Force and when he was honorably discharged in 1957, he received the National Defense Service Medal for Good Conduct. He was also a member of the
Waukesha Lions Club, American Association of Wood turners, and The American Legion. Roland loved being a wood turner and it could be seen by the many truly amazing items he made out of wood.
He is survived by one son, Brian (Bonny) E. Pedersen of Waukesha, Wi, and daughter, Lynette (Scott) Lamprecht of Henderson, NV; and 2 grandchildren Meghan Neder and David Lamprecht; 1 sister
Jaqueline Hudson; 3 brothers Richard Pedersen, Erik Pedersen, and Doug Pedersen; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Holger and Ruth, his wife Margot Madison Pedersen, and his brother Marvin Pedersen.
A private ceremony will be held in spring of 2017 in California. Memorials may be made in his name to: American Lung Association in Wisconsin, 13100 W. Lisbon Road, Suite 700, Brookfield, WI 53005.
His family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses, and certified nursing assistants that had helped Roland in his last week of life at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and AngelsGrace Hospice, all of you truly
made a positive impact on him and his family.
