Edward N. Olson, age 88, died January 23, 2019 at Angels Grace Hospice, Oconomowoc.
He was born October 17, 1930 in Nashotah, WI the son of Halvor and Alma (Petersen) Olson and graduated from Oconomowoc High School. On June 18, 1955 he married Anita Turnacliff. He was a farmer, plumber’s assistant, lumber yard assistant and then he worked at Fiberesin in Oconomowoc retiring after 42 years.
He was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and mowed the lawn at the St. John’s Cemetery for 33 years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, camping, family vacations, word searches, puzzles and playing games. In addition, he was a lifelong blood donor.
Survivors include his wife, Anita, two sons; Dennis (Susan) Olson, Sussex and Rick (Kim Dobson) Olson, Memphis, one daughter; Becky (Jon) Foster, Menasha, five grandchildren; Alyssa Olson, Michael Olson, Kirsten Foster, Colin Foster and Aliana Foster, one brother; David (Nancy) Olson and two sisters Mil Anderson and Margie Dehmlow and two sisters-in-law; Barb Turnacliff and Marlene Lucht.
He was preceded in death by his parent, one daughter; Rhonda Olson, three brothers-in-law; Paul Anderson, Marv Dehmlow and Gary Turnacliff.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Stone Bank, WI. Burial will follow the service at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the service on Friday at the church.
Memorials may be given to Angels Grace Hospice, Oconomowoc or St. John’s Lutheran Church Stone Bank.
