Lucille Marie Murphy died in her sleep on March 14, 2015. Born in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, to Stanley and Katherine Kulas on June 17, 1922, she lived most of her adult life in Pewaukee and Hartland, and most recently in Elkhorn.
Prior to marrying Michael F. Murphy on June 30, 1951, she lived in Milwaukee where she worked as a legal secretary. She was a small woman who had a substantial impact on those around her. Known for her gentle heart, she had a warm smile and mischievous laugh. Her family and her faith were the center of her life. When her four children grew older, she returned to the workplace as a secretary at Century Fence Company.
Her parents, her husband and her brother, Chester, preceded her in death. She is mourned by her children Timothy Murphy (Lois) Wausau, Mary Ellen Prindiville (Jim) Woodstock, Ill., Karen Murphy-Hurtgen (Leo) Elkhorn, and Gerald “Jerry” Murphy (Jennifer Johnson) Watertown; grandchildren John (Sandy) Murphy, Mike (Ana Lisa) Murphy, Judy Murphy, Lorraine (Michael) Betzel, Mary (Michael) Seehafer, and Margaret Murphy; Peter Prindiville; Leah (Tim) Ziemba, Adam (Jordan) Hurtgen and Emily (Brett) Anderson; and great-grandchildren John and Clara Murphy; Melinda and Timothy Murphy; and Claire Ziemba.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 19, 9:30am at St. Charles Parish, 313 Circle Dr, Hartland, WI 53029. Followed by a f
Funeral Mass at 11am including the Rite of Christian Burial at St. Charles Cemetery in Hartland. A luncheon at the St. Charles Borromeo Room will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that gifts of remembrance be sent to St. Charles Parish or the charity of their choice.
