John David Mitchell, 89, of Nashotah, WI, died peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on April 5, 2016.
He was born in Milwaukee, WI on November 11, 1926 to Charles and Mary (nee: Burns) Mitchell. He attended Marquette High School, Marquette University and the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He was a pharmaceutical sales representative for Hoffman-La Roche for 35 years.
John was an accomplished pianist, avid runner and cyclist, and overall health enthusiast. He enjoyed raising dogs and exotic fish, planting trees and watching his favorite sports teams.
John was a gentle soul who brought joy, laughter and love to his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Mitchell. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Nancy Cecil-Mitchell and children David (Gayle Kosterman) Mitchell, Kathleen Mitchell, Patricia Mitchell, Susan (Christopher) Pynchon, and Elizabeth (Patrick) Weber. Further survived by his grandchildren, Brooklynn and Mitchell Weber, and Ryan and Samantha Pynchon and his stepchildren and step-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Church, 313 Circle Drive, Hartland, WI on Monday, April 11. Visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass. Final rest will be in St. Charles Cemetery.
