OBITUARY
Kenneth W. LeRoy
 




Kenneth William LeRoy slipped away from us 
peacefully on June 29, 2017 at the age of 95 years.

Born on May 31 1922, the first of five boys, to Gerald and Alice (Craft) LeRoy at their home on Lawn Street in Hartland. He was raised at this place and graduated from Hartland High School in 1940. He went to work for the Wisconsin Telephone Company after graduation. At the start of WWII, he entered the service of the US Army Air Forces., serving as a mechanic on the big bombers. It was during this time he married his first wife Roberta Jean Witham. After the war, they returned to Hartland making a home and raising three children. He returned to work for the Telephone Company logging in forty -one years before his retirement. Kenneth was very active in the community becoming part of the fabric of Hartland with his hours of volunteer work, organizational skills, his outgoing demeanor and his quick wit. He was a member of the Flanagan Dorn American Legion Post 294, Marshal -Johnson VFW Post 5158, Waukesha County 40&8, Hartland Lions Club, Telephone Pioneers of America and The First Congregational Church of Hartland. As a testament to his achievements he was named Hartland’s Person of the Year in 1991. Kenneth was widowed in 2000 but found happiness a second time with his marriage to Delores “Dee” Brummond. They were able to travel extensively and enjoy their retirement and grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents Gerald and Alice, two brothers Willard and Donald, grandson David LeRoy, his wife Roberta Jean and his wife Delores “Dee”. 
Survived by children, Bruce (Mari Kay) LeRoy of Sheboygan Falls, Kathy (David) Godgluck of Hartland and Gary LeRoy of Hartland, brothers Richard LeRoy of Laguna Woods, California and Roger (Donna) LeRoy of Oconomowoc, sister-in-law Colleen LeRoy of Hartland. Grandchildren Bruce(Shelly) LeRoy, Katie LeRoy, Lee (Bethanne) Godgluck, David Godgluck and Matt Godgluck. Great Grandchildren Sam LeRoy, Carsyn LeRoy and Lucas Godgluck. With heartfelt sadness, he will be missed by many friends and his loving family. 

Memorial Service 11:30 AM on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the First Congregational Church 111 Church Street, Hartland followed by a reception. Final rest will be in Hartland Village Cemetery. Visitation at church from 9:30 AM until the time of Services.

In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to the American Legion/ VFW Scholarship Fund of Hartland, The First Congregational Church of Hartland or a charity of your choice.
