Julie Kellenberger passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 21, 2016 at the age of 48.
Julie grew up in River Forest, Illinois where she attended St. Luke's Elementary School and Trinity High School. In 1985, she left for Wisconsin and went to University of Wisconsin Platteville where she met the man who would later become her husband, Arnold Kellenberger. Julie decided to change majors and went back home to Chicago to complete her college career at Columbia College while commuting from River Forest. She graduated in 1989. Julie attended Dominican University in River Forest to complete her Masters in Special Education.
She was married in 1993 to Arnold in a beautiful ceremony at St.Luke's and then began her new life in Wisconsin where Julie proclaimed, " I have crossed the Cheddar Curtain from which there is no return!" Julie began her new career in Wisconsin teaching Special Education in Cedarburg where she remained until 2004. Later she stated that she had retired and devoted most of her time raising her children, Mollie and Sam. Julie and her family lived for many years in the Kellenberger family home in Menomonee Falls until Arnold's death in 2013. Julie then moved to her present home in Stone Bank.
Julie is survived by her children Mollie and Samuel, parents Leo and Linda and her brother Leo. She is preceded in death by her husband Arnold.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at the Evert-Luko Funeral Home beginning with a Visitation from 1:00PM until 3:00PM followed by a Funeral Service at 3:00 PM which will be followed by a late lunch and reception. Final rest will be in The Hartland Upper Annex Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the “Julie Kellenberger 2014 Trust” for her children's education.
