OBITUARY
Gerald Roy Johnson
           "Jerry"
 




Age 80, of Delafield, passed away unexpectedly Sept. 10, 2017. 
 He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 6, 1937 to 
Gilbert and Lorraine (Guenther) Johnson. 

Jerry attended Mother of Good Counsel Grade School. He was also a graduate of Marquette High School and Marquette University. He worked for nearly 40 years at A.O. Smith and retired from Tower Automotive. He was a volunteer at St. Charles in Hartland where he was a former trustee of the Parish Council, past member of the Board of Education, and current head of the tellers and ushers. During his retirement, he also volunteered at Lake Country School, Waukesha County Courthouse and former volunteer of the City of Delafield. Jerry liked socializing with his many friends and talking to people in general. He enjoyed traveling and camping, and especially loved trips to Banff National Park, Glacier National Park and Disney World. He also enjoyed attending the sporting events and activities of his grandchildren. He was a special grandpa to Stephanie.

Jerry leaves to mourn his loss his wife 45 years, Virginia (Weigel), children Jean Johnson (Phil Martin), Chris Johnson (Julie Raye), Betsy Johnson (Brett Mueller), stepchildren Kim (Charles) Bequeaith and James Kollross, grandchildren Stephanie Bobot (Leo Stratman), Lauren and Tyler Johnson, Emily (Jeremy) Maggio, and Eric and Nicholas Bequeaith, daughter-in-law Anne Johnson, brother Michael (Suzanne) Johnson, aunt and godmother Sr. Humbeline, OSF, as well as other relatives and a host of friends. Predeceased by parents Lt. Colonel Gilbert and Lorraine (Guenther) Johnson, brother James Johnson, and stepdaughter Dawn (Kollross) Bobot. 

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 18th from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at St. Charles Catholic Church, 313 Circle Dr., Hartland, WI. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 5:00 PM followed by a reception.
