OBITUARY
Janet D. Wojciechowski

Janet D. Wojciechowski (née Miller), 58, of Hartland, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on the evening of June 18, 2016 after a heroic battle with ovarian cancer. She was born on December 15, 1957 in West Bend to Rose (Schmitt) Miller and the late Roman “Jimmy” Miller.

Janet owned and operated Hair & Image Plus salon in Hartland for the past 20 years. Her selfless nature and passion for her work had endeared her to her many clients and friends, and made her a well-known and loved fixture in the Lake Country community. Janet also donated a great deal of her time over the years to the American Cancer Society’s “Look Good, Feel Better” program, providing needed services to many women battling cancer.

Janet’s time on this earth was a living demonstration of “the meaning of life,” that God places us here to simply improve the lives of those that we meet and encounter. She was fearless in her ability to engage anyone, even perfect strangers, and offer help, direction and advice…and all that met her came away better for the experience. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother. She was also a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and a dear friend to countless others. She will be sorely missed, but loved forever and never forgotten.

In addition to her father, Janet was preceded in death by her step-father, Wesley Kuehl, her infant children, Alexander and Danica, and her sister-in-law, Kathleen Wojciechowski. Survivors include her loving husband of nearly 36 years, Jonathan; two children, Samantha (fiancé Evan Filtz) and Allison; mother, Rose Miller Kuehl; and siblings, Robert (Anja) Miller, Michael (Mary) Miller, Catherine (Glen) Weinreich, and Linda (Alan) Gundrum. Additionally, she is survived by an uncle, aunt, cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 11:00AM at St. Charles Catholic Church, Hartland. Visitation and a celebration of Janet’s life will immediately follow in the church’s Borromeo Room.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the non-profit cancer assistance organization “Chix 4 A Cause,” or the charity of donor’s choice.
