Thomas R. Audley formerly of the Lake Country Area passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on September 14, 2015 at the age of 70.
Tom was born May 20, 1945 to parents Robert and the late Marion Audley of Hartland, WI . He was a graduate of Marquette University and a retired Deputy Inspector of the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department. In retirement he bred, trained and raced Standardbred horses in Florida. He was inducted into the Florida Harness Writers Hall of Fame in February of 2015. "Farm Out!"
Surviving are his loving wife Marianne, his children, Tim (Eliza) Audley, Jill (Craig) Vento, Andy (Paige) Audley and Maggie Audley. He was proud “Grandpa Florida” to Eli and Emme Audley, Jack and Sam Vento and Oona and Gus Audley. Dear brother of Mark (Peggy) Audley, James (Nancy) Audley and Brad Lee (Sue) Audley and brother-in-law of John (Elise Worman) Bowers, Teresa (Dr. James) Hackett, Donna Bowers, Paul (Dawnene) Bowers, Jim (Patty) Bowers, George (Amy) Bowers and Kevin Bowers. He is further survived by his former wife Nancy Crichton, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A gathering for friends and family to celebrate Tom's life will be held at Shepherd of the Hills Church N36 W24130 Pewaukee Road (Hwy 164) Pewaukee on Friday, September 18, 2015 from 3-6 with a Memorial service to follow at 6:00 PM. Final rest will be in St. John Chrysostom Cemetery, Delafield. In lieu of flowers donations to the Waukesha County 4H or the F.S.B.O.A.-Lester & Eunice Vance Scholarship Fund, Pompano Beach, FL.
