Marie Alice Weber (Barker) passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 while residing at the Mountain Vista retirement home in Denver Colorado. She was born to Pearl and Marshall Barker in Lincoln County Wisconsin on December 7, 1921.
Marie completed her registered nursing training at St. Elizabeth's School of Nursing in Chicago Illinois in 1941. She and Thomas Weber were married in June of 1948. Together they had 5 children.
With nursing being her career (besides being a wife and mother) she worked various jobs until settling in as a nursing supervisor at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital.
After her retirement from nursing, she and Tom moved to Myrtle Creek, Oregon to help take care of her aging sisters. Tom passed away in 2008 and Marie moved to Warrenton, Missouri to stay with her youngest daughter, Mary Beth.
In 2013 Marie moved to Denver to be closer to her oldest daughter, Anna Marie.
Marie is survived by children, Anna Marie DeMarco (Richard), Michael Thomas Weber (Mary), Mary Beth Burton (Robert), and Theodore Joseph Weber, 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas and son Daniel Girard Weber.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church, North Lake, WI. Visitation will be held at church from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass. Final rest will be in St. Clare Cemetery.
