Vernon C. Vice Jr. passed away peacefully at AngelsGrace Hospice surrounded by family on August 26, 2017 after a long battle with cancer.
Vernon was born in Garrett, Indiana, attended high school in
Ft Wayne, Indiana and attended Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana. He spent most of his career in the brewing business, first with Pabst, then with Miller brewing Company. He retired in 1992. He enjoyed skiing, snowmobiling, wind surfing, scuba diving, motorcycling, boating and spending time with family and friends.
Vernon was preceded in death by his father, Vernon C Vice, Sr,
his mother, Coleta Clark Vice and his brother John Vice. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Beth Partleton, brothers James Vice and Jerry Vice, sisters Joan Smith and Judy Forker, daughter Karen Vice (Lil Locke), sons David Vice (Amelie Rider), Tom (Lynda) Vice and Michael (Camille) Vice, grandsons Alex (Brooke) Vice and Nathaniel Vice and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life reception will be held on Wednesday, September 20th from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM at Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewery where guests will enjoy refreshments
and toast the life Vern lived.
