OBITUARY
James L. Simons

James L. Simons of Hartland, WI passed away peacefully at                                                  home in Hartland, Wisconsin on June 19, 2018. Jim attended and
graduated from Marquette Univeristy High School. He went on to
graduate from Marquette University as a civil engineer. He worked
his entire professional career for the Milwaukee Metropolitan
Sewerage District, even doing his college internship there.
...Something that is rarely seen these days.

When Jim retired, he dedicated much of his time to creating
gourmet meals for his family and friends, which was one of his
greatest joys. He was an avid fisherman and loved to play baseball.

Jim was the really smart kid who liked to experiment with things just to see what would happen. He was the guy you worked with who was always up to shenanigans and tried to make work fun. He was intelligent, quick-witted and could make light of uncomfortable situations. He was also the guy you wanted on your team when playing trivial pursuit, because he knew all the answers.

Jim had two children: Michael (Alyssa) Simons and a Granddaughter, Ysabella, of Corpus Christi, TX, and Jackie (Kevin) Greenweller, and a grandson, Chase, of Jackson, WI, and step-daughter Allison Bauer (Jimmy Gleason) of Campbellsport, WI. He will be greatly missed by his wife
Jo Ann (Smith) of Eden, WI.

A special thanks to Tom Monigal and Charlie Ingrelli, two of Jim’s lifelong friends, who he grew up with in Wauwatosa, for their help towards the end of Jim’s life. Cancer’s creeping ugliness tried to take away his dignity, but he fought back with integrity right to the end.

Visitation will be held at the Evert-Luko Funeral Home on Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 4:00 PM until a Memorial Service at 6:00 PM
