Jean (Breidenbach) Makowski, a long-time resident of Hartland, Wisconsin, died peacefully on Friday the 8th of December, 2017.
Jean was born August 22, 1926 in Eagle Wisconsin. She enjoyed her early adulthood working as an office clerk at a law firm in Waukesha. On June 19, 1948, Jean married Jerome Makowski and together they began to build their family. The family grew quickly with the birth of eight children in twelve years. Jean kept a wonderful home for her family and always had an open door for friends and neighbors to come visit at the kitchen table. As the years went by, she filled her time working at the Hartland Clinic, taking fishing trips with Jerry, playing Bridge, cooking, reading, and traveling with her girlfriends. Becoming a grandmother to 42 grandchildren was one of her greatest joys. Jean enjoyed every moment she spent with her family and friends and never turned down an opportunity to play a hand of Euchre. She was the best wife, mother, grandmother, and friend anyone could ask for.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jerome, her son James, her brother Robert, and sisters Rita and Helen. She is survived by
her children Mary (Arthur Helterbran), Ann (Michael Audley), Barbara (Daniel Hayden), Michael (Marcia), Susan (Louis Korpal),
John (Sherry), Steven (Jody), 22 grandchildren, and
