Muriel I. Kurszewski, of Hartland, WI formerly of Polonia, died on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at the age of 82.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 12, 2015 at St. Charles Catholic Church 313 Circle Drive, Hartland followed by a reception. Visitation will be at church from 10:30 am until the time of the Mass. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery & Mausoleum in Milwaukee, WI. Father Patrick Burns will officiate.
Muriel Kurszewski was born in Polonia, WI on February 10, 1932, daughter of the late Henry and Irene (Prodzinski) Repinski. She graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy on June 4, 1950. Muriel was employed at Northwestern National Insurance Company in Milwaukee and at Hartland Plastics Company.
Muriel was married to Ernest T. Kurszewski on August 24, 1953 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia. Her husband, Ernest, died on December 20, 1999.
Muriel is survived by her two daughters, Darlene Edwards and Cheryl, both of whom reside in Hartland. Her two surviving sons are Jeffrey (wife Therese) from San Clemente, CA and Darrell from Kansasville, WI. Surviving grandchildren include Kiley (wife Courtney) Edwards, Tessa and Nathan Kurszewski, and Paul and Michael Laatsch. Surviving step-grandsons are Kevin, Keith and Garrett Fernandez. Surviving great-grandchildren include Kila Kelly, Tillman Kiley Jr., Caelynn, Caleigh and Tyler Edwards and Devon Laatsch.
Besides her husband and parents, Muriel was preceded in death by two brothers, Morton and Ronald and two granddaughters, Kelly and Tracy Edwards.
Muriel was a member of the National Catholic Society of Foresters, St. Ann’s Court 306 in Polonia since 1949.
