Sylvester "Sy" J. Krimmer
Sylvester (Sy) J. Krimmer of Pewaukee, WI passed away peacefully, following a courageous battle with cancer on July 27th at Kirkland Crossings Assisted Living. Sylvester was born February 19, 1931 to Sylvester and Helen Krimmer. He was 1 of 2 children.
Sy graduated from Mukwonago High School before enlisting in the United States Navy where he served honorably in the Korean Conflict aboard the USS DIPHDA (AKA-59. After his discharge he went on to serve his country in the Navel Reserves.
In 1953 Sy married Beverly Schultz and had four children. In 1958 Sy, became a Milwaukee Firefighter for 33 years and was instrumental in forming the Milwaukee Rescue and Recovery Dive Team.
Sylvester is preceded in death by his wife Beverly, parents Sylvester and Helen and brother Robert. He is survived by son Sy (Mona) Krimmer, Sue (Greg) Russ, Lori (Dave) Zellmer, Peggy (Debora) Krimmer, 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, countless nieces, nephews. Along with great friends whom he considered family, Harry, Phil, and Jim - along with the wonderful staff at Kirkland Crossings in Pewaukee.
A Service in memory of Sy’s life will be held on Monday, August 3rd, at the Evert-Luko Funeral Home in Hartland. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1pm to 3:30pm with a worship service to follow.
In lieu of flowers memorials to the Hartland VFW Nursing Scholarship Fund or The Milwaukee Honor Flight are appreciated.
