OBITUARY
Edward Anthony Jedinak

Edward A. Jedinak, 87, of Hartland, passed                  away Aug. 8, 2018.

Ed was born Aug. 27, 1930, three minutes before his twin sister, Lillian, and grew up in the Lakeside neighborhood in Racine. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. Ed received BS and MS degrees from UW-Madison. Early in his career he was a probation and parole officer for the State of Wisconsin. After a stint in the US Court for the Eastern District of New York, Ed returned to Milwaukee and retired after 20 years as Supervising United States Probation Officer for the Federal Court of the Eastern District of Wisconsin.

Besides his love of visiting his far-flung family, Ed found pleasure for many years working in the yard, driving his John Deere tractor, polka dancing, traveling everywhere, and hob-nobbing at his favorite tap. His spirits soared and crashed as an avid fan of the Badgers and Packers.

He is survived by Margaret, his beloved wife of 55 years, his daughters Lee (Christopher) Patzman, Sammamish WA, Pamela (Charles) Brock, San Diego, CA and Peggy (Eric) Melbye, Monroe OH. Proud grandpa of Spencer and Claire Patzman, Josie and Eva Brock, and Soren and Olivia Melbye. Further survived by twin sister Lillian Barth, other Jedinak and Bromley family, and friends. He was preceded in death by parents Stephen and Anna Jedinak, and brother Jay Jedinak.

The family thanks Dr. Gilberto Rodrigues, Physician’s Assistant Deanna Ficke, and all the staff at Summit Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic for their care. Gratitude is also extended to the compassionate presence of the staff at AngelsGrace Hospice.

Visitation at St. Charles Catholic Church, 313 Circle Dr., Hartland, Friday, August 17 at 10 AM, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Private interment. Memorials are appreciated to St. Charles Catholic Church or AngelsGrace Hospice.
