Armand Pierre Chartre passed away on Monday, July 11, 2016 at the age of 70 years.
He was born in Milwaukee to the late Byron and Marion Chartre and grew up in Stephenson Michigan. He was employed by A.O. Smith Corporation for 25 years serving as a tool design manager. He suffered a massive stroke in November of 1991 but through many years of rehabilitation he lived at home with his family.
Armand enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and golfing. He was an avid Green Bay Packer and Milwaukee Brewers fan. He was a faithful member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish for 37 years. Thoroughly enjoyed playing cards and cruising around in his mustang convertible.
He is survived by his wife Patricia (nee Petersen), his children Michael (Sandy Murphy) Chartre, Michele (Craig) Heinze and Mark (Lydia) Chartre and his grandchildren Ethan and Carson Heinze and Sydney and Lydia Chartre. In addition, he will be missed by his siblings Celeste (Fred) Meintz of Pestigo, Marcel Chartre of Stephenson, Michigan, John Chartre of Milwaukee and the late Francis Chartre, other relatives and dear friends.
There was no one more dedicated to his family, always pleasant and cheerful.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 6:00 PM on Friday, July 15 at Blessed Teresa Monches (St. John Catholic Church) W302 N9583 O’Neil Rd., Monches. Visitation from 4:00 PM until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish, North Lake.
