Betty-Alice "Bee" Anderson (nee Friend) of Chenequa, WI and Naples, Florida was born September 19, 1922 in Milwaukee, WI
and passed away peacefully with her family by her side at home
on September 8th at the age of 94.
Bee was the cherished wife of 55 years of the late Don Lindsay Anderson; and beloved daughter of the late James Albert Friend and Emma Christensen Friend; loving sister to late brother Anders J. Friend and surviving brother Peter C. (Grace) Friend, Chenequa.
Bee is survived by her children: James (Eugenie Maas) Anderson, Oconomowoc; Leslie (Richard) Barkow, Nashotah; Christine (Thomas G.) Dunlop, Hartland; Reed (Marilyn) Anderson, Tabernash, CO. Granbee is further survived by her grandchildren: Jamie Anderson and Ted Anderson; Carl (Kimberly) Barkow, James (Holly) Barkow, August (Susan) Barkow, Sally Barkow, Emlie (Chad) Veinot;
Alison (Andrew) Hutchinson, Thomas L. (Amanda) Dunlop;
Ian (Emily) Dunlop; Jenna Anderson and Jacob Anderson.
Granbee's great grandchildren: Charlie, Ashley, Blake, Drew, Will, Liam, Molly, Jackson, Ainsley, Peter, Cole, Abby, Ewan, Rhys,
Foster and Lachlan. Bee is also survived by many
nieces and nephews and their families.
Bee graduated from Mount Vernon Seminary in Washington DC and Garland Junior College in Boston. She was a long time member of Chenequa Country Club, Kettle Moraine Garden Club, and with Don, a founding member of the Kettle Moraine Curling Club. Also known as Beezie, she was a life long member of Pine Lake Yacht Club as sailing was her passion that was passed down to her children and grandchildren. Another passion was her gardens which she planned and helped to maintain into her nineties.

There will be a celebration of her life on Saturday, September 16th from 1-4 PM at Chenequa Country Club.
